We
are pleased to invite you to NIEUW/NEW, the festive launch of our multiyear
exhibition, research and studio programme.
On
Saturday 16 November, Het Nieuwe Instituut will open its doors. Behind
the scenes as well as up front, visitors will learn about the institute's
wide range of activities and the programmes that link them.
We'll
celebrate the launch of Het Nieuwe Instituut with the opening of the
exhibitions 1:1 Sets for Erwin Olaf and Bekleidung, both at Het Nieuwe
Instituut, and Richard Hutten at the
Sonneveld House. And we hope you'll join us for a personal
tour of the archive, collection, reading room and exhibitions.

2.30 – 7pm
Festive
programme with contributions from guests including Frank Bruggeman, Dirk
van den Heuvel, Richard Hutten, William Myers, Erwin Olaf, Andrea van
Pol, Eric Roelen, Berend Strik, Floris Vos, Erich Weiss en Juha van ’t
Zelfde.
With the presentation of the new visual identity designed by Maureen
Mooren, accompanied by a showcase of work by other designers, such as Ben
Laloua/Didier Pascal, Tomas Celizna, Marc Hollenstein, Lu Liang, Mevis
& Van Deursen, Henrik Vibskov, and Rutger de Vries.

Opening of Het Nieuwe Instituut.
At
2pm, before Het Nieuwe Instituut's launch event, you are invited to
attend the announcement of the nominees for the Rotterdam Design Prize
2013 at the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Het Nieuwe Instituut is a
partner and realizes the Rotterdam Design Public Prize.
